Marti Hess

After more than 15 years working in the non-profit sector, Marti stepped away from the structured office environment and launched her own business. During her tenure in the nonprofit arena, Marti garnered nearly $10 million in grant funding. As a MAPs team member, she provides expertise in government and foundation grants, program development, and strategic planning. Marti received her bachelor's degree in health science from SDSU. She is a certified life and business coach, a certified Inspired Learning Model Facilitator, and works with groups and individuals to help them maximize their potential. Marti lives in San Diego with her husband Jack and her cat Richard Parker.
Pat Fitzmorris

Dr. Pat Fitzmorris is a proud co-founder of MAPs. She received her doctorate from Northern Arizona University, Bachelor of Arts from UCLA and Masters Degree from University of San Diego. Currently she works as a Professional Expert with the San Diego Unified School District and an Adjunct Professor with National University. She has worked in the San Diego County Office of Education, Sweetwater Union High School District and San Diego State University Research Foundation. For over 20 years, she has provided leadership in the development and management of millions of dollars of Federal and State Department grants. Her areas of focus include: Healthy Start and Medi-Cal Partnership management, violence prevention, community collaboration, and Alcohol, Tobacco and Other Drug Prevention. She lives in San Diego with her husband and two daughters.
Aly Evans

Ms. Aly Evans has facilitated grants and resource development for K-12 public education and other nonprofit educational organizations for nearly two decades. She has facilitated successful state and federal grant proposals and has administered grant awards for both San Diego and San Marcos Unified School Districts. She most recently served as National Project Manager for a very large National Science Foundation grant supporting arts integration into science education. Pulling from her nonprofit management experience and her focus on mission-driven results Aly coordinates effective collaborative programs blending partners from K-12, informal and local universities. Aly received her Bachelor of Arts (Elementary Education) from the University of Northern Colorado and a Master of Management from the University of Phoenix. Ms. Evans recently relocated from Ocean Beach, CA to Ithaca, NY and collaborates with the MAPs Team remotely in support of the MAPs team vision.
