Services and Workshops
Training Workshops: We offer basic grant proposal development training that can be tailored to your agency’s needs. The sessions include information on types of funding sources, how to research, sections of a grant application with hands-on experience, and formatting a proposal. Workshops are 2 to 12 hours in length depending on the intensity required for your group. The MAPs team has facilitated its customized grant development process through San Diego Community College, San Diego Writer’s Ink, Scripps Institution of Oceanography, and various other agencies. Cost is based on hours and number of students-please contact us.

Sustainability planning: MAPs team members can support your agency’s sustainability by taking your staff through a planning process that will look at diversifying funding sources and setting benchmarks for achievable results. Contact us for prices.
Grant Development/Writing: As a member of your grant development team, MAPs grant professionals will assist in writing grant proposals and Letters of Intent/Inquiry/Interest. To ensure a successful grant application we work to build an agency’s capacity and empower staff members to gain grant development skills by including them on the team. MAPs provides grant review and support during all stages of development. Prices will vary for each proposal and depending upon whether it is a quick turnaround (3 weeks or less).
Individual Mentoring/Coaching: A member of the MAPs team provides individual or small group mentoring and coaching, offering guidance throughout the grant proposal process.
Mastermind/Professional Learning Group: Small group (4 to 6 individuals), 2 hour sessions for 6 sessions that support participants in achieving individual goals, whether to write a grant, develop a program, create a marketing plan, or other project. Focused attention on each project or grant application gets faster results with less frustration. Each individual gains from the collective wisdom of the group, which is facilitated by MAPs staff members. Visit our website homepage often for announcement of the next session.
